I was born at the young age of whatever and have been mark making and world building for as long as I can remember. Here are some of my drawings that will hopefully give you, my dear reader, an idea of the kind of creator that I am, since as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words.
…but im sure a couple words would help as well. As you might be able to tell, I am a fan of the fantasy and video games.
I spent many a day in childhood exploring video game worlds as many do, some standouts that I remember fondly, Banjo Kazooie, Zelda OoT/Zelda 2, Warcraft 3, Metroid NES… There’s a lot lot more but this would turn into a different kind of page, so back to the drawings!
I was originally self ‘training’ on becoming something of a concept artist/environmental artist + double spec in the comic artist talent tree but somewhere along the line, the pull to not just draw but also design and build games just really hooked me.
So for the past couple of years now, I’ve been trying to focus on learning on how to put together such games, instead of actively re-reading the loomis books and trying to get hired as a AAA concept artist.
that being said about making video games, i still feel the pull for comics and children’s books. I still write notes in my phone about graphic novel ideas i get.
